Drive

Drive is per-workspace file storage. Every member of a workspace can read and write everything in it, and so can the minions assigned to that workspace. Use it for the documents your team and your minions pass back and forth: PDFs, spreadsheets, images, exported reports.

Drive sits next to Notes in the sidebar. The split is deliberate:

NotesDrive
ContentCollaborative text you edit in MinionFiles you upload from your machine
FormatMarkdown, versioned per editAny allowed file type, versioned per upload
Best forReports, meeting minutes, specs written by minionsContracts, invoices, images, data exports

Click Upload to add files, or New folder to create a folder. Folders nest to any depth.

  • Move: drag files onto a folder, or select several and use Move to pick a destination
  • Rename / Download / Delete: available from the ⋯ menu on any row
  • Search: the search box matches file names across the whole workspace, not just the current folder
  • Preview: click a file to preview it in the browser. PDFs, images, and plain text render inline; other types offer a download instead

Deleting moves an item to Trash, where it can be restored. Nothing is removed from storage until it is purged from Trash.

Uploading a file with the name of an existing file creates a new version rather than a second file. Version history on the ⋯ menu lists previous versions so you can download an older one.

Drive is deliberately document-focused. Video, audio, and executables are rejected at upload.

Slide decks do not count towards storage: they live in the database rather than as files. Images placed inside a deck are stored with the deck and are also excluded from the quota.

Drive is the handover point between you and your minions.

Pointing a minion at a file. In chat, type [file: and pick a file, or paste a Drive file URL. The minion receives the file name, its full path in Drive, and the API call needed to download it. The same works for folders with [folder:, which lets a minion enumerate everything inside.

Summarise [file:contract-2026.pdf] and note anything unusual about the payment terms.

Asking a minion to produce a file. Minions can upload to Drive directly. When you ask for something that has to be a real file — a PDF, a spreadsheet, an archive — it lands in Drive and appears in your file list.

Copy link for minion on the ⋯ menu copies the [file:UUID] tag so you can paste it into a chat or a task description.
